I worked at Brooks Running in Spring 2013, pinch-hitting while their senior copywriter ran the last relay of catalog season. (Mixed sports metaphors cost extra.) I wrote web ads, tech sheets, emails, instructions on how to use their smile machine, and—when we were down to the wire and there were seconds left on the clock, the score was tied, if you build it, they will come—the sock copy for the catalogue.
The Brooks voice is snappy. It's a little bit weird. It's playful. It's right up my alley, and I couldn't have been happier to be working with them.
Even if I was slightly terrified someone would ask me to go for a run at any given moment.
